"MEN IN MBLAQ" Concert Practice Video

The members of MBLAQ have been working really hard in order to deliver a great performance on their upcoming concert on August 20.

Through the video we can see them during their vocal and dance rehearsal giving their best to bring a great stage for the fans. 

G.O asked everyone to have fun with the songs they have prepared and fans are eager to listen while Cheon Dung mentioned that he hopes to see them there so they can listen to the new songs.
Mir mentioned that fans will be able to see different aspects of the MBLAQ members and Joon simply asked for their help. 

Finally the leader Seung Ho requested the attention of everyone during the concert since they have been practicing day and night without sleepin

NY Anime Fest to Host Director Makoto Shinkai

 

New York Anime Festival announced yesterday that writer and director Makoto Shinkai will be appearing at the event. He will be presenting his new film Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below. NYAF takes place October 13 - 16 in New York City. 

Shinkai will be speaking at at Q&A session and will also be signing autographs. There will be both a public signing for general attendees and reserved autographing for NYAF V.I.P.s.

Shinkai's other work includes She and Her Cat, and 5 Centimeters Per Second.

FEST VAINQUEUR Announces 2nd Single

Visual kei band FEST VAINQUEUR, formerly known as SINCREA, will release their second single titled “Hazan” on September 7th.

“Hazan” was arranged and produced by RYO of defspiral and will include two other tracks titled “Asterisk” and “Butterfly”. First press editions of the single will come with an autographed photo.

SINCREA went on a hiatus in March 2010, but returned with a new name last October.

Sowelu Makes Comeback With "Let me..." Mini Album

Sowelu is back with a new mini album titled "Let me...". The album is described to be made for the modern woman and all her desires, including lust, love, fashion, marriage and the desire for a career.

The mini album will come in 2 different versions: a male and female version. Each version will feature 5 shared songs and a unique track only available on that version.

Along with the announcement of the new mini album, Sowelu has reveals the music videos to "I want U to… feat. WISE" and "Let ME Lead U".

KARA To Make Korean Comeback In September

The next few months will be a very busy time for KARA. The group has announced their Korean comeback in September. The girls will be releasing a new album and are in the middle of choosing which song to use as their lead single.

"They are currently reviewing which songs to be their title song. Two songs have been chosen so far, and they’ll soon choose their title song for their comeback," DSP Media stated.

Promotions for their Korean album will only last 3 weeks. After their short stay in Korea, the girls will return to Japan where they will be releasing a new Japanese album in October.

ONE OK ROCK Makes 3 Big Announcements

The countdown has ended and the band has revealed that they will be releasing a new album titled “Zankyo Reference” on October 5th, and they will be holding a two-day live at Yokohama Arena on January 21st and 22nd. 

Their fifth original album will include their latest singles “Answer is Near“, “Re:make“, and “NO SCARED“. The album will come in a limited edition with a special package and a regular edition.

The two-day live at Yokohama Arena will be the final performances of their “ONE OK ROCK 2011-2012 ‘Zankyo Reference’ Tour“. This will be the biggest venue that ONE OK ROCK has ever performed at as a solo act!

 

Super Junior's Leeteuk And Heechul To Enlist In Army

 

Super Junior's Leeteuk and Heechul are both 28. According to Korean law, the two will be required to enlist by next year. This means the group's latest album "Mr. Simple" will be the two's last album until they get out of the military.

"We feel more affection towards the album because it is their final album before their enlistment," a fan commented.

An SM Entertainment representative stated, "There isn’t anything decided regarding their enlistment, but because of their age, they will have to enlist sometime next year the latest."

While this may be the last Super Junior album for Leeteuk and Heechul before going into the army, the two have already stated that they will be together with the group for a world tour before their enlistment.

KARA Set To Surpass BoA in Japanese Digital Sales

 

Of all the Korean acts to break into the Japanese market, KARA has been the most successful since BoA first came to Japan 11 years ago. The group is set to surpass BoA shortly however.

During her Japanese career, BoA has had 3.65 million digital record sales. In just a year, KARA has already had 3.2 million digital sales with only 3 singles. KARA's immense popularity in Japan means that the girls are likely to become the best selling Korean act in Japan.

KARA's 4th single "Go Go Summer!" has topped almost all digital sales charts. With the official figures coming out soon, the music industry is waiting to see if KARA can officially take the title of best selling Korean act in Japan.

On August 3rd, AKB48 sub-unit Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 stopped by Tokyo Roppongi's Nicofarre for a live event in celebration of their new single "Hetappi Wink."

The group's latest hit is a love song about the feelings of a girl who can't wink well. "The lyrics are cute, so they're everyone's favorite," member Watanabe Mayu (17) commented with a smile. However, she revealed, "One of us has a 'real hetappi [clumsy] wink'!" Though all the members showed off their own unique winks, Iwasa Misaki (16) admitted, "Even if it may not look that way, I had to practice mine." In total, they performed twelve songs before an audience of 250 fans.

New Persona 4 Anime Trailer Streams

The official website for the upcoming Persona 4 Animation project has begun streaming a new promotional video. Similar to the past promos, the new one is view-able for a limited time. The anime will be premiering on MBS, TBS, and CBC in Japan in October.

Shihoko Hirata, who performed the original opening and ending for the game, will also be performing the theme songs for the anime. "sky's the limit" will be the opening theme, while the ending theme, "Beauty of Destiny", will be performed with Lotus Juice. 

Based on the original PS2 game released in 2008, Persona 4 will be directed by Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!) and is animated b AIC Asta. Persona's concept designer Kazuma Kaneko and original character designer Shingenori Soejima will be reprising their roles from the game. They will also be joined by Shoji Meguro as musical compser. The cast includes Daisuke Naimikawa, Showtaro Morikubo, Yui Horie, Tomokazu Seki, Kappei Yamaguchi, Ushuou Ishizuka, Akemi Kanda and Mitsuaki Madono. 

Persona 4 follows a player-named protagonist who attends a high-school after moving into the country from the city for a year. During the year, he investigates a variety of murders while using the power of summoning the Persona.

Nozumi to Release New Low-Priced Gakuen Alice on DVD

 

Nozomi Entertainment announced today that a new, lower-priced litebox version of Gakuen Alice will be released on November 1st.

The series will be released in a litebox keepcase and will be featuring the original Japanese audio, English-language subtitles and an English on-screen translation. Extras for the series will include liner notes, character bios, a textless opening and closing, and Nozumi Entertainment trailers. 

Originally created by Tachibana Higuchi, the series is 26 episodes long and features Takahiro Omori (Hell Girl, Baccano!) as director. Gakuen Alice follows two friends Mikan and Hotaru. When Hotaru is scouted for the school "Alice Academy", Mikan become determined to enroll. But when she discovers that explosions, superpowers, giant baby chicks and axe-wielding teddy bears are almost the norm there, she has no choice but to tough it out because once a student enters the academy, there's no escape.

Today, July 23rd, Eugene and Ki Tae Young were wed at the Seoul Central Church in Anyang, Kyungki-do. Big Bang's Taeyang was present at the event and was said to have sung during the ceremony.

The two began dating in January of 2010 after the conclusion of their MBC weekend drama, ‘Making a Lover‘. The two had actually attended the same church, and after a year and a half of dating, finally decided to tie the knot today. The couple will leave on the 25th for their honeymoon in Europe.

Last week we told you that Miyavi added North and South America to his “WHAT’S MY NAME? WORLD TOUR 2011”. Today he released dates and venues for this leg of the tour.

The “NORTH & SOUTH AMERICA CIRCUIT” will be a continuation of Mivayi’s “WHAT’S MY NAME? WORLD TOUR 2011“, which took the rocker to Japan and Europe earlier this year. The American leg will kick off in California on October 20th and wrap up in Argentina on November 15th.

This lover boy started the "sit-up kiss" craze from his 2010 drama Secret Garden.
